Kalmegh Leaves, commonly known as king of bitters, is an herb traditionally used in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Kalmegh Leaves is used to treat the common cold. It is fairly effective when taken for three to five days after the symptoms first appear.

Kalmegh Leaves has been used for liver complaints and fever, and as an anti-inflammatory and immunostimulant. In clinical trials, Kalmegh Leaves extract has been studied for use as an immunostimulant in upper respiratory tract infections and HIV infection.
